Rachel Wayborn

Tournament

This tournament in held in April each year in memory of one of our members, Rachel Wayborn.

Everyone is welcome to this Quick Tournament and you can turn up and play on the day.

Quick tournament rules are simple(ish) – you play 8 games per match, minimum of 3 matches. You play 4 with your partner and then swap partners and play 4 against them. You keep a tally of the games you have won. The top 4 players then go into the final.

There is a bring and share tea afterwards in the clubhouse where the trophy is awarded.

I would like to thank everyone who came to Rachel’s Tournament yesterday. It was great to see so many there to support the event.

Thank you to all those who helped with the organisation. There were some great matches throughout the tournament and many congratulations to Dave and Annie the eventual winners.

It was also so good to see all the young children of members there having a great time playing with each other. I know Rachel would have been so pleased to see that.

All in all it was a fantastic day and a wonderful tribute to Rachel. Once again thank you to everyone for your support. I am very grateful.
