Thanks to everyone who came today

29 players made March merriment at 2023’s inaugural Quick Tournament on Saturday 18th March. Two hours of fast fun-filled tennis played with the Bruce’s bonus of Spring sunshine. At close of play when the points were totted up the victors were:

Women: 1) Julia Barnes 2) Vicky Povey 3) Kathy Curling
Men: 1) Mackenzie Ward 2) Jack Howland 3) James Pyne

Congratulations to them all – especially to Mack, scooping the top prize, leading the vanguard of our impressive juniors. Also participating were Yousuf, Dylan and Louis. Karen hopes to see them all at future club play sessions.

The afternoon included with a delicious buffet and the culmination of the 6 Nations competition with Ireland crowned champions – fitting on St Patrick’s weekend.

Karen would like to thank Mary for running the tournament and supplying prizes, and she would like to thank everyone who came along ( players and supporters) who made it such an enjoyable afternoon.
